NOAA: Gulf Shrimp Fishery “Not Economically Sustainable” After Decades of Thin Margins

NOAA Fisheries' new economic snapshot lays out a stark picture for the Gulf shrimp industry: landings, revenues, and fleet participation are down sharply, while long-term profitability remains effectively nonexistent.
