Canadians Want Sustainable, Traceable Seafood as Ocean Concerns Grow
As the world marks World Ocean Day, a new survey suggests Canadians are deeply concerned about the condition of the oceans but remain increasingly optimistic that meaningful progress can be made.
The survey, released by the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) in Canada, found that 90% of Canadian seafood consumers are concerned about the state of the ocean. At the same time, 41% said they are optimistic about the world's ability to protect oceans over the next two decades.
