The US Food and Drug Administration has proposed a rule that would fundamentally change how food companies, including seafood processors, handle ingredients and processing aids that have long been used without formal FDA review.

The Sustainable Shrimp Partnership (SSP) has welcomed three new Associate Members: Aker QRILL Company, EDISA, and MILANPLASTIC. This move expands SSP's network of companies working to support sustainability and responsible shrimp production.
SSP said the new members bring expertise in aquaculture nutrition, digital traceability and food packaging, strengthening collaboration across the shrimp value chain.
